I took Noelle in for her "6 month check up" today, even though she is only about 5 1/2 months old. We will be moving and traveling around her 6 month birthday, plus I wanted to talk to the doctor about her continued poop issues.
She hasn't grown too much over the past two months. She put on a couple ounces and is now just over 17 lbs. She grew a little less than an inch and is now 27 inches long. (FYI, she is still way above average for her age.) The doctor wasn't concerned. He said that, since she was so big for her age, we don't need to worry that she isn't eating enough or anything like that. Apparently sometimes kids can go through plateaus on their growth charts. He said that if she still hasn't put on more weight by her next check up, that might be something to look at more closely.
As for her poop issues, they remain! She has had several adjustments by the chiropractor over the past few weeks. There are so many variables that it's tough to evaluate the effectiveness of those adjustments. They seem to be working somewhat. She has done lots of little poops, and almost always does so within a day after an adjustment. We did get a prescription for a gentle laxtive today from the doctor mostly because we think she has quite a bit built up in there (especially since we started cereal), but also because we will be traveling enough in August that going to a chiropractor regularly won't be feasible. Interestingly though, our chiropractor here has a classmate near Fort Wayne, so we may look into that again once we are settled in Indiana if we feel that it's a good option. We will also be looking for a pediatrician in Fort Wayne who may have a little more expertise in these issues than the family practitioners here.

What pediatrician do you all use there? (And do you recommend them?) James will be due for his 4 month soon after we arrive.
We have seen several of the health care providers here (all are at the same clinic). There aren't any pediatricians nearby. Dr. Richman delivered Noelle (family practitioner). I like him, but he is quiet and not super personable. We've gotten to know Dr. Nicholson (also family practitioner) very well during Matt's health issues, and I took Noelle to him just the other day. Super friendly!! I have also taken my girls to Jodi Spady (physician's assistant) for many well-child check ups, and I love her.
Those are my recommendations - hope they help! The clinic is conveniently a few blocks down the street.
Just an FYI, if James will be on the Nebraska Medicaid health insurance, you have to get shots at the once a month (first Saturday) shot clinic. They won't give them to him at his regular check ups. We got behind a bit on Noelle's shots because I didn't know that at first...
Happy packing! :)
Thank you!
