After having to get out in the middle of his shower this morning because his heart was racing so much, I called to schedule Matt an appointment with the doctor this afternoon. Between that, the continued symptoms of anemia, and continued signs of at least some degree of internal bleeding (black stools), we decided he needed to get back in to see a professional.
Matt is confident they will check his hemoglobin level again today. By comparing the results to Saturday morning's count, the doctor should be able to determine how significant his bleeding is. They may give him another blood transfusion and/or may order more extensive tests in Denver. We aren't really sure at this point but will update you as we are able.
